Join us for our AVC 101 Workshop. Only $129 for an intensive 3-hour online workshop of instruction and interaction. 

Over this 3-hour lecture & demonstration, students will be introduced to several different pieces of equipment and software. We will explore how they are used in Themed Entertainment & Location-Based Events. Devices used will create a small, yet complete, Audio, Video, and Show Control system.

Taught by industry professional, Fionnegan Murphy, this online workshop will give a high-level view of networked systems, show controllers, general purpose inputs and outputs (GPIO), buttons, touch screens, and video servers. The 3-hour lecture session will give students an understanding of how each system is programmed, and how they communicate with each other. 

*No personal equipment or prior knowledge is required for this workshop. All levels welcome!

Prior to the workshop, students will have access to the platform a few days early. There, you will find information, handouts, and other materials about the class. 

The content from this course stays available to you for a full year,  so you will always have the opportunity to go back to prior weeks to review information or download handouts as needed. 

It is our hope that the course content will inspire you to dive into this crazy industry, and become an Essential part of any department. We expect you to have fun while taking the course, because even though it is packed with information and resources, you should still be enjoying every moment of it!

Fionnegan Murphy

For the past seventeen years, Fionnegan Murphy has designed, installed, and programmed Audio, Video, and Show Control systems in entertainment venues around the world. For 12 years, Fionnegan was the lead designer, engineer, and programmer of Audio, Video, and Show Control for the mazes at Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood. He was also the Show Control and Video designer and engineer for the Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. interactive exhibition tour that took him to Paris, China, Singapore, Australia, Sweden, London, and Las Vegas. His engineering skills were also be seen at the Epcot Experience Center, which boasted the most intricate projecting mapping experience in the world. Fionnegan also led the Audio, Video, and Controls design for the Stranger Things Experience, and oversaw it’s installation in New York, Atlanta, and Paris. He has worked with clients like Universal Studios, Netflix, Meow Wolf, The Hettema Group, BRC Creative Arts, and many more.
